Encompassing 942 hectares (acres) of native bush, forests, lakes and streams, Mount Bruce is a reserve designed to protect this natural landscape and its wildlife. The land and air is teaming with life, from endangered birds to billions of invertebrates. The Visitor Centre is dedicated to protecting these species by promoting breeding, conservation, and educational programmes. Visitors to the park can also explore the nocturnal house and wetlands area. A small shop and tearoom are also on site.
